A secret garden in embroidery

A secret garden in embroidery

German textile designer Anke Drechsel firmly believes that true luxury goods are the result of craftsmanship. Fascinated by the history of textiles development in Europe, North Africa, and Asia, all of which are reflected in her work, Drechsel is currently based in Paris, France, where she has a Quai de la Gare showroom.

Each exquisite hand-embroidered item is crafted by experienced embroidery masters. Intricate craftsmanship, fine embroidery by hand, and little antique sewing machines are used to combine modern aesthetics with exquisite embroidery and create home accessories with a unique cultural style and flawlessly detailed design. Some pieces use hand-hammered gold filaments, supplemented by refined materials such as raw silk, hand-dyed velvet, and worsted linen, to create breathtaking beauty in every stitch and line.
