Love is… letting them stand on their own two feet

Mother Teresa once said love is seeing your duty in the needs of others.

Since 2013, Kuan’s Living has provided fabrics and sewing machine classes to the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation. The Sunshine Love Sewing Workgroup makes quilts and pillows, which enables members to learn skills and acquire stable, long-term work opportunities.

The quilts and pillows are sold at Kuan’s Living during summer and winter sales, and all proceeds go to helping vulnerable elderly members of the community. In this way, those who have benefitted from the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation get a sense of achievement and recognition by giving back to society.

Combining charity work and craft, these special quilts and pillows contain twice the love, helping to spread positive energy.
